Podcasts
The use of this as tool can be advantageous. A short introduction to a lesson from a youtube clip can be the motivation a student needs to get through a lesson. I have seen other teachers use podcasts in the classroom and on the students ipods. A student did mention to me that while they should have been listening to it they were actually listening to their own music. Time is a factor of being able to find appropriate things to use in the classroom for a wide range of abilities and levels. Plus you don't want anything too "corny" or the content may be lost on the students. (ie their maturity level). With the technology revolution in place and a greater number of ipads in the school it may be something that can be used as a teaching and learning tool. As long as the students are on task.
